Tank Farm Closure
Thirteen (13) Aboveground Storage Tanks (AST’s) containing
various chemicals had to be cleaned out, decommissioned, and dismantled.
Stainless, carbon steel, fiberglass construction. All process piping
surrounding entire tank farm had to be flushed, purged and decontaminated.
All tanks and piping cut and sized for off-site recycling –
much of the hot work completed with plasma torch cutting apparatus.
Demolished concrete saddles and brought entire tank farm area to
grade. Retaining wall relocated and re-constructed. Handled all
transportation and disposal.
