Nitric Acid Cloud

Tanker Truck carrying product for disposal releases a Nitric Acid
cloud. A chemical reaction was taking place inside of tanker during
transport.

Major Interstate was closed and homes were evacuated. RRI responded and advised all on-site regulatory agencies regarding
proper plan of action. RRI teams provided continued monitoring of the tanker and site conditions. Based on findings RRI advised client when the proper time was to transfer product to another tanker.

RRI crew transferred the reacted product from the heat damaged tanker to a new tanker for transport.
